My husband is a wonderful man. He is a 'jack of all trades', really.
He can build, repair, paint, install and maintain anything.
He enjoys getting his hands dirty and no job is too big or too small for him.
He also doesn't mind getting his hands a little flour(y) or dough(y).
So, when our youngest son's girlfriend asked him to teach her how
to make a pumpkin pie from scratch...
he was more than happy to teach her.
Before our son's sweet girlfriend arrived, my man got the kitchen ready, he baked that pumpkin and had every
bowl,dish,ingredient and appliance
on hand when she arrived for her baking lesson.
She was a very teachable student and they had a great time together.
Some wonderfully fun memories were made that evening,
as the flour covered dusted the counter tops,
the sound of the mixer whirrrred,
and the smell of pumpkin spice and laughter filled the air.
Can't you just picture it in your mind?
You don't have to... I've done it for you below.
Enjoy!

On top of all his attributes (which is just about everything), he has a great simile!
I have told you that I'm glad you are back? Well, I am.
Such a sweet post.
He is a keeper for sure.
That is a memory they will have forever! He sure does sound like a jack of all trades! I have never made a pumpkin pie, I hope to make one this year!

You are definitely a woman most blessed. I'm sure you know that, but having a husband who would do that is really wonderful. Look how much fun they're having!
(BTW, tell your son that I'll bet she's the type who is a keeper.)
Ahhhh...making memories in the kitchen - my favorite thing.
I love your new design!
I have learned recently that it takes skill to make a purmpkin pie from scratch. How special that he took the time to teach your son's girlfriend. He should teach classes.
