Two days a week are Bri days.
My days start off and end much the same
but at 8:30 am, two days out of the week;
Bri comes to my house for the day.
The day starts out the usual way, with
my internal alarm clock waking me,
at the crack of dawn.
I sleepily roll out of bed, put on my
slippers and head downstairs for
a cup of coffee.
On Bri days, I must make haste,
as it is time to get my day started
to ready for her arrival.
Out comes the Gerber Pure filtered water;
the better to make her bottles with.
Out comes her baby rattles and teethers;
the better to keep her happy with.
Out comes the baby monitors;
the better to hear her waking babbling with.
Out comes the stroller;
the better to keep me exercised with. (and she loves it!)
The doorbell rings and it is 8:30 am.
In comes my daughter- in- law with
a diaper bag, blanket, pacifier
and the cutest little bundle,
with the cutest little smile.
Our day consists of walks around the block,
bottles, baby food, playing with toys,
naps, patty cake, baby giggles and
looking at that "baby in the mirror" which
I have actually put to song.
I love my days with sweet little Bri.
It makes my grandmother's heart smile.

Blessed, yes you are! She is adorable.
It's funny how when it comes to a grandchild, we do things that were thought unthinkable.
Like getting up so early!
Cute song. You must sing a lot of songs, also. How wonderful.
Did I tell you that I'm glad you are back? Oh yes, I did.
But I am so glad you are!
Sugar and spice . . .
What a cutie pie! I'm sure you're squeezng and kissing her all day!

precious, precious...enjoy, enjoy!!!
How blessed little Bri is to have you in her life and certainly you are blessed to have her. You are a most valuable role model and teacher, even at her young age.
