I recently was browsing through a unique toy store that I like to frequent. I like to pick up fun little toys for a “special” little girl in my life. As I was looking around the store, I could not believe my eyes. There on the shelf smiling back at me was a small little doll; its familiarity took me back many years, to another time. This toy doll was just like one that I used to play with as a little girl. It is called a “Flatsy Doll”. I had 2 or 3 of these little toy dolls that I played with frequently. They were small, flat and bendable and came with their own little background and outfits. I also had a set of Flatsy paper dolls… remember paper dolls? This new doll, with the same name, looks very similar to the one that I had and comes with an outfit, hair accessories and a comb. I knew I had to buy one of these dolls for my special girl. I could not wait for her to see my new purchase and I wondered if she would like this toy doll, just as much as I had, so many years ago.
I will let you be the judge.

I just love that nostalgic feeling, seeing a toy that was loved and remembered.
I don't remember these dolls but the smile the special girl in the last picture, lets me know that she was happy you thought of her. I am wondering if I am too old to remember those doll? It happens often to me :)
