It's Just Beachy!

I was so excited for this past weekend to finally arrive!  

My husband and I were going to enjoy a weekend get-away at the beach. 

We were traveling by truck and pulling our tent-trailer behind us to one

of our favorite campsites by the sea. 

We were both looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the wonderful

spring weather we are experiencing here in our "little bit of heaven,"

 otherwise known as Southern California. 

To our enjoyment surprise... we had no cell service by the sea. 
We seriously enjoyed the quiet time together listening to the ocean

and putting our toes in the sand. 

Here is a little bit of what we enjoyed...

The water was turquoise on Friday when we arrived.

This is my new beach chair. It comes complete with cup holder,

cell phone pocket, & a pillow for my head.  In the back it has a

stuff holder and mini ice chest.  And if you look closely in the

background you will see our little"home away from home".

It is always lovely when you get a room with a view!

This is where each morning started out. Coffee and tea in hand;

we enjoyed God's masterpiece as he paraded schools of dolphins

and a few seals in front of us each day.

(no pictures as they were too far out & ducked under the water quickly)

 I was able to snap a shot of these pelicans as they scaled the water so low,

looking for a fish breakfast.

This was taken in the early morning hours, before sun-rise.

As, was this one.

Beautiful coastal view when the sun rose...

And when the sun went down.

And down some more.

We really enjoyed our weekend,
especially the quiet and restful part of it... But...

The other part of our weekend was, well, not quite so restful. My wonderful husband had an idea, and it started out like this.

"Why don't we go across the road and go on a hike, up on the mountain trail?!"

For which I replied, " Um..Ok".


What was I thinking??
