Simple Treasures

My step-mom is quite crafty and has always been.

And for all of her children, her many grandchildren and her
great-grands she has made quilts.

A hand-made quilt is made for the new babies that continue
to arrive and keep this family of ours growing.

She also makes a quilt for each grandchild when they marry.
She asks the perspective bride and groom what their colors
will be for their bedrooms and away she goes!

Many hours and lots of love go into each quilt that she creates.

Here are just a few...

This one was for our daughter and son-in-law
for their wedding a few years ago.

And this one is for our son & daughter-in-law
who married recently.

Oh... and we can't forget, even the newest granddaughter got one of her own.

These quilts are all unique and different in their
own ways.

They will all be treasured for many years to come.

~Thank you Grandma Kay
for your love and precious time
that you put into each beautiful gift~

Wonderful treasures, Crickit! We have some antique quilt tops here but very few quilts. And can I just say that the look on that new granddaughter's face is just about as priceless as any I've ever seen!!

Absolutely beautiful! Aren't you all lucky to have Grandma Kay! My grandma made us all afghans and I am so grateful.

Truly those quilts are such kind, meaningful gifts. I think of the time and love put into each stitch. What a lady!
