I like red but the color that makes me s-m-i-l-e is yellow. I don't wear much of it and it's not a predominate color in my home. But I'm looking at some daffodils right now that are making me smile.
I like your pops of red. I found it interesting to read this post, because I have just started adding pops of read into my family room too. I really like red and it too always makes me smile. I wonder so often why I did not include it in any of my decorating before. I like your red tins on the shelf.

I'm all about the pop of red this year, but I've been so crazy with the kitchen that it's almost March and I haven't added nearly enough to the house.
Now, I'm inspired!
