The count-down has begun...
And, our daughter is building her nest,
for her daughter, who is due to make
her debut into this world
on (or) around January 23rd.
Many preparations are being made.
Several different materials have
been gathered...
They have been lovingly designed,
and put in their place...
Black & White damask wallpaper has been hung along with a crystal chandelier.
The walls will be painted a soft, pale pink.
Her little dresser is fully equipped. (Notice the Butt Paste... whatever happened to Desitin?)
Baby's bag is packed and ready to go!
... awaiting her arrival.
This Mommy is patiently
waiting to be able
to do this.
Just as her own Mommy did
almost twenty-five years
ago.

What a sweet blog, all the care and love you put into your thoughts still amaze me!
Hi there, Congrat's on your soon to be new granddaughter. How exciting; grands are simply the best blessings. Who would have thought there'd be a product called Butt Paste but my girls use it and it works. Love the nursery!! Have a wonderful day.

Can't wait to see pictures of Baby Bird! I love the gorgeous nursery, the pink, white and black will be beautiful, and I esp like that chandelier!
My heart is pounding for you!
This is what we, as moms, have deep down, wanted for our own daughters...to have a baby!
Holding my breath and praying.
Keep us informed!
Now what baby wouldn't love a crystal chandelier! Looking forward to hearing all about the arrival of this little blessing.
I was born on January the 22 and my dear, late paternal grandparents were married on 23 January 1929. My maternal grandmother was born on the 20th of January.
While I am completely biased - there is a special something about a January baby.
I send enormous amounts of love and care to the Mother-to-be, her husband and their families,
Michelle/Mickle and Zebby Cat, xxxxxxxx and puRRRRRRRRumbles
Awwww!!! That last photo took me by surprise, and I just love that you ended with it.
I can't even imagine how excited you must be. Someday, I hope that I know.
Her nursery taste is fantastic. I love the patterned wall. I like how these young moms (and dads) think outside of the box with their nurseries.
A baby granddaughter... you must be completely over the moon!! (Has your other grandchild (another girl??) been born and I missed it? I know you are looking forward to a big old wonderful grandma year in 2012.
Glad you made it safely. What a lovely nest your daughter had built!
I know you are super excited. I am glad to have found your blog. Your blog brightened my day.
