I am sure by now you have all heard of...
PINTEREST.
It is a fun place to save things that you love, are
interested in, or would like to make,
on virtual bulletin boards.
The boards can be shared with others who are
also are on Pinterest.
I was skeptical when I first decided to be a part
of this virtual pinning.
Because, it is just...not real.
With Pinterest, I can take you into my virtual life.
Here are a few of my growing up memories...
I call this MY MEMORY LANE board.

Such a cute outfit, but is it in my real closet?
Nope!
That is why I also have this pinned to the same board.
Now, I just want to be clear.
I am not saying that you should not get
involved in Pinterest,
because obviously I am.
I think you can have fun with it,
as long as you also remember what
is real...and what is not.
And not to let it become a huge
time waster.

I really love my real life.
God has blessed me tremendously
and I am very thankful.
I do not want for anything,
He has always provided for us.

Now to get some laundry done...
I wonder if Pinterest has a
board for that?!

Your sense of humor is showing!
I like to look around at Pinterest but haven't joined.
Funny, funny!! I am so enjoying Pinterest, but I have disciplined myself to just pin things I will do something with...and I have, I have cooked better, my Dr Seuss tree was inspired by Pinterest..and I have learned so much from those I am following..but I think it can get you in trouble also, with the "I wish I had" bug
As long as I stay balanced it will be fun!!
Thanks for a fun post...
First... WELCOME HOME. I'm behind in blog land because of that pesky thing called real life. How rude of it to interrupt my blog time...
And on that note, I love this post and agree completely. It's important to remember what's real, and what's "virtual".
For me, I might enjoy looking at pins, but I only pin that which I really think will inspire me forward. Toward that end, I have "bring a pin to fruition" on my monthly to do list.
As to your pins? Well, frankly I was shocked. Shocked, I tell you!
Who would have thought that the picture of my fine behind in my yellow dittos would still be around after all these years?
Hey, if you can stick 'em in your virtual closet, I can wear 'em in my virtual memory...
I love Pinterest, and spend maybe 10 minutes there a day looking at what my friends have pinned, but mainly I use it to pin things to my virtual bulletinboard so i can go back later...like if I find a recipe on a blog, I'll pin it to my recipeboard so it's easy to access. I pinned that pantry closet into a desk nook too!
I say go out today and add that cute outfit to your real closet.
Great post! I resisted Pinterest... then I broke down and registered... I haven't been on it since. My daughter sends me ideas she's found. She's tried some wonderful recipes, created a few knit and sew projects... I'm just afraid that if I get comfortable with it, it will be something else that ties me to the computer when I shouldn't be there. So far blogging takes the amount of time I'm willing to forfeit to the electronic info/communication box. For now...
Blessings, Debbie
Unfortunately, I am right with you on your thoughts of Pinterest. My daughters introduced it to me and when I find a few extra minutes, I find it a fun way to pass time. You shared your thoughts in a heartfelt way and I appreciate that.
