The weather was so beautiful this weekend,
here in Southern California.
We decided to go for a motorcycle ride
to one of the local farms where you can
pick berries & vegetables.
Our youngest son came along with his
girlfriend and we made a fun day out of it!
We picked blueberries and raspberries which
are already in season here.

We had such a wonderful day together.
Looking forward to a little later in summer
when we can do some vegetable picking here.
In the meantime, we are looking forward to
making some yummy smoothies and other tasty
recipes with our berries.

Oh that is on our list again this summer...but ours aren't ready until June. I am also looking for other self-picking farms...that is on my to-do list for today. How much fun...enjoy the fruit of your labor.
What a fun way to spend time together. I look forward to when our blueberries and raspberries are in bloom. In two weeks we should have strawberries.

I am trying to picture where you put those berries on the bikes to carry them home?
We used to go blueberry and strawberry picking when the girls were home. I haven't done it in a while. I need to.
We used to suggest they weigh the girls before and after our picking sessions just to keep them honest.
Yum, I love berry picking and berries! Ours won't be ripe until June! :(
