The Long Wait

Can a motorcycle really be lonely?
He has been patiently waiting in the cold, dark garage for someone to sit upon his beautiful leather seats (front & back), someone to take him out again, on the open road, where his engine can roar and his tires can once again, hug the highways and byways of this beautiful state.

He can't wait to once again, show his riders the thrill and electricity of the ride; one that transports them from the "daily grind" - to the spinning beauty that surrounds them,
as the wind hits their face and their scarves fly like a colorful kite behind them.

SCREEEEEEEECH!
And why has this bike been sitting in the cold, lonely garage for such a long while?  That is just it... COLD!!  It has been much too cold for its riders to brave the great outdoors for awhile now.
No... there has been no snow, but here in our sunny state it has been
in the 50's and low 60's ... not quite riding weather.

HOORAY!!
I think there may be an end in sight... at least for this coming weekend.

Our life is out on the highway...

We can't wait to ride it...(again)

I think it's great that you ride a motorcycle. I hope you get the opportunity to hit the road this weekend.
I'll let you in on a secret...I've had a motorcycle license since I was in 1970, when I was in High School. vroom vroom

You and Gene Autry . . .
I'm back in the saddle again
Out where a friend is a friend
Where the longhorn cattle feed
On the lowly gypsum weed
Back in the saddle again

When I visit your blog and read your posts I find myself smiling through it all. We are on the same page my friend. Our motorcycle is covered with a blanket and we will be waiting much longing than you to get back on it. I love the picture of God running to the prodigal...love that beautiful picture!!! And, my magnifying mirror has become my new best friend...and at times my worst enemy:) Thank you for blogging and for each post.

Have fun on your outdoor adventure. I envy you.

It's been below freezing here all week. It snowed and iced Sunday night. Finally, today the temp when up into the low 40s...but it's going back down to 25 tonight. There is still snow and ice everywhere in my neighborhood.
